Five for Friday

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my five highlights from this week.

I LOVE different variations of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three Little Pigs, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, etc.  These stories are some of my all time favorites.  So, I have been working on a Three Little Pigs Unit.

This unit comes with a pig craft and 14 different printables.

Students can assemble the pigs and then write about any topic you wish.  Two different styles of writing paper with illustration boxes are included.  An idea for writing could be to have students write about how he/she felt when the wolf came to his/her house.

Here is a sample of what the printables look like:

Skills practiced include:
*Beginning Sounds
*Middle Sounds
*Ending Sounds
*Digraphs
*Blends
*CVC Words
*Rhyming
*Greater Than
*Addition
*Subtraction
*Count by 1's
*Count by 5's
*Count by 10's
 *Number Words

This unit is a fun way to review The Three Little Pigs and is perfect for leaving with a sub, to use in literacy/math stations or to send home for homework.

I had a request to make some word searches.  This little packet has 6 different searches included.

I added a lot of new readers:

https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/The-Builder-Uses-His-Tools-emergent-reader-2292665

These readers are great to use during Guided Reading or independent practice.  These readers have students reading and writing important sight words.

We all know how important it is for young learners to master color words.  I love these printables because students have the opportunity to color the word, trace the color word and then use the word in 4 different sentences.

Lastly, I added two Print and Go Packs.

The first one practices fractions:

The second pack practices plurals.  Students rewrite the words to make them plural by adding -s, -es, or -ies.

Hopping on real fast to share a few 100th Day activities from my store.

The first activity is 100th Day Crowns.  Who doesn't love crowns?  This packet comes with 3 different styles to choose from.

The first style has students practicing color words and shapes.  Simply print and have students color the shapes according to the code.

This is how the finished crown looks:

Five for Fraturday!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my 5 highlights from this week.

Last Saturday, Scooter started feeling bad.  By Monday he still wasn't acting like himself, so I took him to the vet.  The vet wasn't exactly sure what was wrong... he may have possibly ate something he shouldn't, or he could have a bacterial infection.  Scooter had to get an IV shot and 2 antibiotics.  He is feeling a little better, but has lost a good bit of weight.

This cutie has his first toothy!
Actually, he has two... the two bottom teeth have broke through.  This is the best picture I could get.  He will not let us near them!

This week, Everett saw his first snow!!  We have gotten 4 inches so far, and it is still coming down.

I added a Spring craft to my TPT shop.  Students can assemble "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".  The craft comes with a writing piece and illustration box so that students can write and draw about what they would eat if they were the caterpillar or they can just record a fun fact that was learned about caterpillars.

Lastly, your princes and princesses will have fun practicing the "pr" blend in this fun and interactive way.  Simply print and have students color, cut, paste and practice writing the "pr" blend.

Thanks for stopping by!  Stay warm!

Five for Friday

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share my five highlights from the week.

On Monday, Everett had to go to the doctor for his six month check up.  He weighed 19 pounds 6 ounces and was 28 1/2 inches long.  He is growing way too fast.  He rolls ALL the time now and tries his best to sit up on his own.  It won't be long before he's crawling!
This picture was taken before the doctor came in and before the nurse gave him shots.  He only had to get two shots this time.  At his last two visits he had to get 4 shots.  He is NOT a fan of shots.  I think it scares him more than it actually hurts.  When the nurse sticks him, he holds his breath and turns bright purple.

Everyone always says, not to say he's a good sleeper, BUT he sleeps so much.  He sleeps 11 hours most nights and then sleeps a lot during the day also.  I think he sleeps so much because when he is awake he is very active.
Here he is chilling while I'm getting ready.

I have been sooo busy this week making updates to readers that are already in my store.  I added better clipart and fonts.  Here are a few of the updates:

I also updated my Baa Baa Black Sheep craft.  It's much cuter now.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Baa-Baa-Black-Sheep-Craftivity-867452
Students cut out the pieces to make the sheep and then practice counting and writing color words.

I added a reader for Martin Luther King Jr Day.
https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Dr-Martin-Luther-King-Jr-reader-2294533
The reader and my Martin Luther King Jr. Stations are 20 percent off until the end of the day.
Lastly, I added something that can be used to decorate a classroom door or Bulletin Board.

The writing prompt says, "I'm not "Lion"... I Love You".  Students write about someone they love.
