Tomorrow I am going to introduce the word "went" to my students. We will be using the following reader:
After giving my students the reader, I write the word we are working on, on our white board. The students use their best handwriting and copy the word into their readers. After they have finished writing I have them read to me. The kids get a smiley face and then work on coloring the pictures until everyone has read to me. Once everyone has read, the kids take the readers and place them in their book baskets to read during Read to Self. To see the reader in my store, click here.
